By a friends recommendation I arrived at a small restaurant located in La Parguera named Moons Bar & Tapas.
The place, with a very peculiar concept, allows you to enjoy a variety of tapas and famous sangria. Among the dishes that distinguish this unique setting are the mussels in white wine broth with chorizo, steak, shrimp tempura in sweet chili sauce, lobster salad, octopus or conch, “chorizo” (type of sausage) in wine, among others.
The dishes are usually accompanied with delicious house sangria better known as Sangría Bruja (Witch Sangria) praiseworthy of 3rd place in the Mayagüez Sangria Fest. This sangria can be tasted either red or white. Other drinks that distinguish Moons are the Cosmopolitan, mojitos and the “Moonstini”. In a casual and modern setting you can enjoy excellent service and the highest quality of seafood and steaks. In addition, it also has great tapas for vegetarians, as ripe plantain stuffed with humus. I can assure you that the establishment is small but all the dishes are as they say “homemade” and prepared when ordered; from fresh fish to their “mozzarella sticks” as well as desserts. So, because of the quality and taste of the food, is why they make us enjoy a lunatic gastronomic adventure. The restaurant is located at the entrance of the La Parguera village in Lajas and provides service from Thursday to Sunday starting at 4 pm.
